 Jessica Steen was born in Toronto (Ontario) to Joanna Noyes, an actor and Jan Steen who is a actor and director. She has Dutch and Scottish descent.



 



 Apart from her acting career, Steen is an environmentalist and animal rights supporter. She is an advocate for David Suzuki and the World Society for the Protection of Animals. She is a certified diver, as well as skilled in many circus arts such as fire-twirling stilt-walking and fire-twirling.
